Reinhard C. Seifert

Born on March 27, 1969 in Wolfsberg (Carinthia, Austria)

1980 - 1987: Secondary school of the Benedictines in Sankt Paul / Lavanttal

1989: Traineeship at the AZ (Arbeiterzeitung) under Robert Hochner.

1988 - 1997: various studies: violin, composition, history, philosophy as well as Slavic studies and Russian language.

Since 1995: Freelance composer.

Since 1998: lively concert & tour activity with various orchestras and ensembles in Asia, South America, Europe, US.

2005-2007: Artistic director and dramatic adviser at Bela Koreny's legendary “Broadway Piano Bar” in Vienna.

2006-2009: Austrian Broadcast ORF RKH (Radio Culture House), dramaturgy and program designer, ORF OE1 Radio station, broadcasting, interviews and moderations, among others radio programs such as "Contra", OE1 Extra.

Since 2009: Founding year of the RCS ALLA BREVE AGENCY.

2011, 2012: Script and stage direction of the semi-staged productions "Fledermaus" (Johann Strauss: “The Bat”, 2011) and "Zigeunerbaron" (Johann Strauss: “Gypsy Baron”, 2012) at the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow with soloists and members of the choir of the Vienna Volksoper and the Original Strauss Capelle Wien.

2017: Start of the international project “Around the World in 80 Tunes” with the Classic Consort Vienna and International Speaker or Celebrities.

2018: New Version (World Premiere!) of the St. Matthew Passion with visuals & light show” at the International House Of Music in Moscow (2018) with the State Symphony Orchestra of Russia, International Soloists and the Moscow State Choir.

RCS worked for the Austrian Broadcast ORF RadioKulturhaus and OE1 Radio station in the Argentinierstrasse as a dramatic adviser, broadcaster and program designer before he set up his own business: he is now on tour with his own orchestras (Original Strauss Capelle Vienna, Baroque Orchestra Vienna, Classic Consort Vienna, Opera Symphony Orchestra Vienna).

He designed event concepts and programs with renowned ensembles such as "The Philharmonics", the "Janoska Jazz Consort", "bassetto a tre" and soloists and actors like Ursula Strauss, Andrea Eckert, Mercedes Echerer, André Heller, Cornelius Obonya, Juergen Maurer, Lukas Resetarits, Dieter (Max) Moor, Frank Hoffmann, Michael Dangl, Maximilian Schell, Karl Markovics, Wolfgang Böck, and Angelika Kirchschlager, Timna Brauer, Michael Schade, Natalia Ushakova, Katja Ebstein and many others ...

Within his scope RCS made interviews with Janine Janson, Sir Roger Moore, John Malkovich, Gidon Kremer, Krzysztof Penderecki, Julian Rachlin, Misha Maisky, Maxim Vengerov, Vera Borek amongst others.

RCS regularly performs as a producer for CD recordings and film music with members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, Gerhard Bronner, Ensemble Concertante Vienna, Classic Consort Vienna, Mentis Quartet, Klaus Gesing (bass clarinet); Tibor Kovac (violin); Bozsodi Quartet, etc.

RCS is a Producer for CD projects and Broadcast recording with artists such as The Philharmonics ("Souvenir de Bohème"), Julian Rachlin & Friends (Vangelis, "Mythodea"), Gerhard Bronner ("The Hungarian History of Creation / his last CD recording before his death!), Igudesmann & Joo, ORF, Cultfilm, 3-SAT, Arte. Various documentaries, features and contributions in the Austrian Broadcast TV programs "Kunststuecke", "Treffpunkt Kultur", "Licht ins Dunkel", Kulturmontag.

Sports & Hobbies: Cycling, mostly in the south of Austria, Carinthia, also up to mountains and longer distances (cycling project Vienna – Kyiv 2019 in 10 days: done!) for inner relaxation and to "recharge batteries".

Special Honor: 2015 Invitation to the Hofburg Palace to the former Austrian Federal President Dr. Heinz Fischer.

RCS is also a game developer and has been working together with Johannes Knöbl since 1987 - the games label Verspielt&So; He is a promoted philosopher and composer and, as a enthusiastic historian, he writes on an extensive book about Sir John Mandeville.
